Hitch a ride on the Bay Area Ski Bus

By Adam Soldinger • Jan 11th, 2008 • Category: News

For many of us in the Bay Area, getting up to the mountains can be a bit of a chore. And whether or not you have a car, it’s always nice to let someone else handle the driving, especially if your last trip over Donner Pass was perfectly timed to coincide with a massive dump (I remember saying to my girlfriend several times in the calmest tone possible, “This is dangerous.”). Anyway, I recently stumbled upon the Bay Area Ski Bus and to my surprise, not many folks knew about it. So now you do. They provide transportation to/from Tahoe for single day trips or even 2-4 day trips that include lodging, lift tickets, continental breakfast and other goodies. I mean, what else could you possibly ask for besides maybe an apres-ski party…oh wait, they provide that too! And for those who can swing it, they also coordinate multi-day trips to other high-profile resorts like Alta, Aspen and even Zermatt, Switzerland (but I’m guessing they ditch the bus).
