Liberty Skis: Skis Go Green
By Adam Soldinger • Jan 9th, 2008 • Category: GearIt’s no secret that the “green” movement is alive and well within the ski and snowboard communities. Hell, mother nature provides us our playground so it better be. But some people are accepting the challenge of promoting environmental sustainability and taking it upon themselves to make massive strides to do their part. Enter an independently owned and operated ski company called Liberty Skis. Founded in Avon, CO in 2003 by a like-minded group of freeriders, Liberty uses environmentally-friendly core materials like bamboo in their products, and as of 2006, has been completely wind powered. Check ‘em out for yourself at their website…
Their next project is a pair of progressive powder skis that look like they suffer from a severe identity crisis…
Liberty Skis, we salute you!
